2. QUALITY ASSURANCE:

A.  Responsibility for Inspection: Unless otherwise provided in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements of this CID. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description, where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements (See Section 6, Ordering Data).

B. Sampling. All sampling shall be in accordance with JCP Q20 of the Government Paper Specification Standards published by the Joint Committee on Printing. For sampling purposes, a lot shall consist of the same type, color and thickness of board offered for inspection at one time.

C. Testing. Testing shall be in accordance with Part 2, Testing Standards and Definitions, of the Government Paper Specification Standards published by the Joint Committee on Printing. (Note: See individual TAPPI’s for specific sampling instructions).

D. Acceptance criteria shall be as specified in Part 4, Acceptance criteria shall be as specified in Part 4, Acceptance Criteria, of the Government Paper Specification Standards published by the Joint Committee on Printing.

3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENT: The contractor shall certify that the product offered shall include 100 percent waste paper, to include a minimum of 10 percent postconsumer recovered material in accordance with 40 CFR, Part 250. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.

4. PREPARING FOR DELIVERY. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
